Attacked and almost being attacked

                               I know I should have wrote about this right after it because it took a big effect on me in so many ways. Early one morning in October my boyfriend James and I were walking home from my aunts house after watching movie, it was around 1:45 in the morning wasn't bothering anyone. well when we got close to our apartment there was this black car that was driving up in the alley near the hospital and they were just waiting there so I thought they just wanted to get by so    i waved my hand to let them know they could pass. we were getting close to the alley where our apartment was and as we went around the corner there was that black car again and this time it pulled in the driveway and the rest just happened so fast. these 2 black guys got out of the car and for no reason at all came and punched my boyfriend james in the james and threw him on the ground and was kicking him and kicking him.  i'm standing there froze stiff the one guy looked like he was about to come after me too but it was like something pulled him back from coming after me. james kept saying what do you want but they just kept hurting him , he even yelled for help and no one came out to help. when i had my chance i started running to the apartment and that's when they took off. i was in tears and so shooking up. james had to go to the emergency room to be checked and thank god nothing serious was wrong with him just bruised pretty bad. ever since then i will not walk in that alley in the dark , even in the daytime walking down that alley i vision that scene all over again i even had nightmares for awhile about it. and of course the cops couldn't do anything about it because we didn't know who they were and their license plate was off. i mean can you answer how someone can be so hurtful and go and attack an innocent person who's minding their own business? i thought they were going to  beat james to death it's a good thing i ran to the apartment when i did cause who knows what else they could've done.
